Aerospace Propulsion Mechanic
Inspect, repair, remove, reassemble, install and adjust different parts including the compressor (fan), gear box, augmentor exhaust nozzle, augmentor, turbine section, engine accessories (such as fuel pump, exciter, igniter, anti-ice valve and fuel control), engine manifolds, electrical wiring and core engineering. Perform hourly, daily and time compliance inspection routines to determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced. Inspect parts to check wear, check which parts are functional or non-functional, replace faulty components and reassemble the units. Repair functional parts on-site or send to support/depot level for more critical work.
- Received a Marine Corps Excellency Medal in April 2006 for working nine hours continue till 2:00 a.m. (performed an engine test in the hush house before going down for calibration).
