  • Utilized Symantec ProComm plus (PDS) processing system via the Hospital network to transcribe the reports into the pathology reporting system.
  • Logged outside pathologists’ consultation requests and forward the requests with slides, original reports and blocks to the surgical pathology accessioning office.
  • Retrieved reports, slides, and blocks from remote sites (surgical pathology spaces) as requested by divisional pathologists.
  • Provided back-up for answering the telephones for the division.
  • Disseminated calls to appropriate personnel and when required/necessary, take phone messages.
  • Provided information to physicians regarding biopsy reports and status of reports under the guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Performed additional duties as assigned and required by the division.
