You need to project yourself as someone capable of multi-tasking and being able to get along with others. Good communication skills are necessary here, so project yourself as a person able to communicate well to people working around you as ell as to people you have to report to when working.
Reverences from teachers or professors are seen as a plus as this reflects on your personality and the ability to get the job assigned completed to satisfaction. While bringing out your contact details, bring them out clearly with proper line spacing between each detail, so that they are easy to read. This way when someone reading your resume wishes to contact you, they can quickly catch details to do it.
